A&T BANK ANNUAL REPORT 2014
Information Technologies
Following a development and testing period
of over one year, A&T Bank launched Internet
Banking services in 2014.
Throughout 2014, A&T Bank continued efforts to improve and
renew its technology-based products and services in order
to ensure that the Bank’s business processes comply with
international standards.
• Following a development and testing period of over one year,
A&T Bank launched Internet Banking services in 2014. In
order to test the functionality and security level of the new
system, it first launched internally, for use by Bank personnel
only. During that time, the system also underwent extensive
testing by local and international companies; after successful
results were obtained, Internet Banking went live for all
customers.
• Under the Workflow Management Project, an Electronic
Workflow Management System was launched to transfer all
the Bank’s business processes to electronic environment.
The first phase of the initiative included workflows related to
Foreign Trade and IT Change Management. The objective
of the project is to increase productivity in all business
processes, measure and reduce transaction times, convert
to paperless transactions, and monitor business processes
from start to end.
• Efforts to automate control of the Legal Credit Limits
management function over the T24 Banking System were
completed.
• The T24 Core Banking Application was upgraded to a new
version; as a result, functionality diversification was achieved
and accessibility was improved. In addition, the server
and storage infrastructure was renewed, making banking
transactions and IT operations faster and more resistant to
outages.
• The Windows XP operating systems were upgraded to
Windows 8.1.
• The Bank’s IT security system passed the Leak Tests with
a score well above the industry average. This testing was
conducted by independent auditors and is mandatory
pursuant to the Principles Communiqué of the Banking
Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA).
• After COBIT (Control Objectives for Information and
Related Technology) inspections, which are performed by
independent auditors, the system has been evaluated as
satisfactory.
• As a result of a yearlong effort to improve and renew the
information systems, higher security and accessibility levels
were attained; functionality and capacity were increased to
serve A&T Bank’s long-term business needs.
• In accordance with the Foreign Account Tax Compliance
Act (FATCA), the IT Systems Analysis and Development
Department integrated a FATCA module to the T24 Core
Banking Application. The Bank’s current customer portfolio
was then directed to FATCA tables. The required changes
were completed on both the Module and the T24 Core
Banking Application. Following the consulting and training
provided to business units, the FATCA module was made
ready for use.
